What is the Time Gap for Drilling Nearby Bored Hole during Piling?

Bored pile is a cast-in-place concrete pile where the bored piles have to be cast on the construction site. Bored pile is used to support high building producing heavy vertical loads. Normally, it can be drilling into 50 metres depth of soil. The drilling method is depending on the soil condition which is determined from soil investigation and decide suitable drilling technology.

When the construction of a bored hole close by to the recently completed bored pile is required, the Contractor must wait at least 24 hours. This specification shall apply to all bored hole construction within the distance equivalent to six times the diameter of the bored pile or the distance as dictated by the Engineer.
